Who We Are
Discover a wide variety of volunteer and internship opportunities at the largest natural history museum in the Southeast. Volunteers and Interns provide vital support to the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences and its mission. They add diversity and depth to the Museum's staff, allowing the Museum to better connect with the community. In return, these valuable individuals are given the opportunity to expand their knowledge and learn new skills while gaining valuable experiences in a unique environment.
What We Do
Internships are unpaid, part-time positions offered either for college credit or for experience. Internships are offered during the Spring, Summer, and Fall semesters.
The Museum is also a host site for the State of NC Internship Program . The State of NC Internship Program is a paid, full-time summer internship for NC residents.
If you are interested in Veterinary Sciences internships, they have separate application requirements and deadlines. Learn more about the VetPAC Museum Medicine Internship here.
